Gilles Madan
Gilles Madan holds a BSc in Anthropology and an MA in Poetry and Poetics. He translates poetry and contemporary literary fiction from Portugal and Brazil. He has attended translation courses online and at the British Centre for Literary Translation in Norwich.
His articles, book reviews and translations have appeared in several literary magazines, including Modern Poetry in Translation and International Times.
Gilles is also a poet and member of Black Sheep Poetry Collective, associated with Little Hirundine press, an independent poetry micro press that focuses on supporting local writers and leading community-based workshops in York.
